We all have used phone for several years,but  do you know why mobile phones can vibrate?

The phone vibrates only when it's just a small phone but  the effect is  so strong! 

How exactly is it implemented. Today, let's take a look!

If the phone needs to vibrate, there must be a device specifically responsible for vibration inside the phone.

                          Ordinary small motor(permant magnetic coreless motor)

As shown in the above picture, let's take a look at the small motor that vibrates on this phone.

In fact, the biggest difference between this motor and the small motors we usually see is the head

The round on. A cam is installed on the head of the mobile phone motor, and when this cam rotates, the center of gravity

It's not in the center of the shaft, up.

When rotating, the cam will produce centripetal force, but because of the special structure of the cam

When moving, the direction of the centripetal force changes with the rotation of the cam, so the phone in hand

It feels like it's vibrating. For the simplest example, try removing two or three electric fans at home

you will get a blade, congratulations, the fan can dance now.

                         Linear motor

Linear motors can also be divided into two types: horizontal linear motors and vertical linear motors.(Also calls X shaft motor and Z shaft motor)

IPhone phones use X linear motors!

Horizontal linear motors are more high-end, and currently there are not many mobile phones using horizontal linear motors like

IPhone and Meizu 15.

There are many mobile phones currently used for vertical linear motors, even like the Meilan S6, Meilan E3.

The Samsung S9, Nut R1, and OnePlus 6 flagship aircraft also use X linear motors. 

Z shaft motor vibration is less  better than X.

In the linear motor of a mobile phone, there is a permanent magnet that utilizes the principle of magnetic attraction and repulsion

When starting the linear motor of the mobile phone, the brush introduces current, and the oscillator in the motor cooperates with other components

The components vibrate together, which is the working principle of linear motors in mobile phones.

                            Coin vibration motor

There is a circular permanent magnet inside flat motor, FPC printed coil, and a small iron core in the middle of the permanent magnet,

After the coil is energized, an electromagnetic field is generated, coupled with the magnetic field of a permanent magnet, causing the iron core to vibrate.

In short, it is the principle of electromagnetic induction.

                           BLDC motor

In order to adapt to the sensing speed and touch screen experience of mobile phones, BLDC motors are more commonly used for mobile phone vibration.

The quick tactile feedback made it the first choose for high price mobile phone.

Brushless motor uses semiconductor switching devices to achieve electronic commutation, which replaces traditional contact commutators and brushes.

The brushless motor consists of a permanent magnet rotor, a multi pole winding stator, and a position sensor. 

Position sensing reverses the current of the stator winding in a certain order based on the changes in rotor position

 (i.e. detecting the position of the rotor magnetic poles relative to the stator winding, 

generating a position sensing signal at the determined position, 

and controlling the power switch circuit after signal conversion circuit processing to switch the winding current according to a certain logical relationship). 

The working voltage of the stator winding is provided by an electronic switch circuit controlled by the position sensor output.
